Installation

1.

If you are installing over a previous install of Monkey Merge then it is recommended that you close all open Monkey Merge windows and un-install Monkey Merge from your computer before installing again.

2.

Click HERE to download the Monkey Merge installation package.

3.

Double click the file "MonkMerg.exe" (the file that you downloaded in step 2 above) and then follow the installation instructions.

Uninstall

Close Monkey Merge and then select the "Uninstall Monkey Merge" shortcut in the Monkey Merge folder of your start menu.

If this does not work then you can manually uninstall Monkey Merge . First, close Monkey Merge. Then, find the folder that Monkey Merge is installed in (This is typically something like "C:\Program Files\MonkMerg"). Delete this folder.


XML RSS Feed Update

Registered Users: Launch your registered version of Monkey Merge. Select the "Help, Update" menu item. Alternatively, refer to your original order receipt for instructions or contact us.

Un-Registered Users: Click HERE to download the latest version.


Main Window

The main window is the main interface for Monkey Merge. Click HERE for more information on the main window


Merge Word Files

To open this feature, select the "Quick-Find, Merge Word Documents" menu item from the main window.

Use this feature to merge word documents (files saved in the *.doc format)

Check the "Write Over Original" check box if you wish to write over the original merged file if it already exists.

Check the "Delete Originals" check box to delete the original word documents after a sucessful merge. If this is not checked then the these files will not be deleted.

Click the "Start" button to start the operation that you have selected.

Click the "Close" button to close the window and return to the main window.

This feature requires Microsoft Word installed on your machine.


Merge Excel Workbooks

To open this feature, select the "Quick-Find, Merge Excel Workbooks menu item from the main window.

Use this feature to merge excel spreadsheets (files saved in the *.xls format).

Check the "Write Over Original" check box if you wish to write over the original merged file if it already exists.

Check the "Delete Originals" check box to delete the original excel xls files after a sucessful merge. If this is not checked then the these files will not be deleted.

Click the "Start" button to start the operation that you have selected.

Click the "Close" button to close the window and return to the main window.

This feature requires Microsoft Excel installed on your machine.


Merge Plain Text Files

To open this feature, select the "Quick-Find, Merge Plain Text Files" menu item from the main window.

Use this feature to merge plain text files (plain text file types include *.html, *.htm, *.txt, *.php and many others. You can edit plain text files in any plain text editor, for example, Microsoft Notepad).

Check the "Write Over Original" check box if you wish to write over the original merged file if it already exists.

Check the "Delete Originals" check box to delete the original plain text files after a sucessful merge. If this is not checked then the these files will not be deleted.

Click the "Start" button to start the operation that you have selected.

Click the "Close" button to close the window and return to the main window.


Merge Adobe Acrobat PDF Files

To open this feature, select the "Quick-Find, Merge Acrobat Files" menu item from the main window.

Use this feature to merge adobe acrobat pdf files (files saved in the *.pdf format).

Check the "Write Over Original" check box if you wish to write over the original merged file if it already exists.

Check the "Delete Originals" check box to delete the original pdf documents after a sucessful merge. If this is not checked then the these files will not be deleted.

Click the "Start" button to start the operation that you have selected.

Click the "Close" button to close the window and return to the main window.

This feature requires Adobe Acrobat installed on your machine. You can get a fully functional 30 day trial version from HERE.


Merge Rich Text RTF Files

To open this feature, select the "Quick-Find, Merge RTF Files" menu item from the main window.

Use this feature to merge rtf documents (files saved in the *.rtf format).

Check the "Write Over Original" check box if you wish to write over the original merged file if it already exists.

Check the "Delete Originals" check box to delete the original rtf files after a sucessful merge. If this is not checked then the these files will not be deleted.

Click the "Start" button to start the operation that you have selected.

Click the "Close" button to close the window and return to the main window.
