Document (doc) files can be merged. This requires Microsoft Word installed.

XML Spreadsheets can be merged. This requires Microsoft Excel installed.

Plain Text files
|
All plain text files can be merged.
Examples include: txt, csv, pl, c++, html, htm and many others.

Adobe PDF files
|
PDF files can be merged. This requires Adobe Acrobat installed.

Rich text rtf files
|
RTF files can be merged. Note that some RTF readers such as Microsoft Wordpad cannot recognize page breaks.

Movie files
|
Support for these files types (mov, mpeg, avi and others) is not present. The plain text merger will merge these files but you must verify that they run correctly by playing them.
You must check at the point of merging and there-after.

MP3 Files
|
Support for mp3 files is not present. The plain text merger will merge these files but you must verify that they run correctly by playing them.
You must check at the point of merging and there-after.
Note that mp3's with different compression ratio's probably won't merge successfully using the plain text editor.
