combine 2 excel spreadsheets

thedba How do you combine 2 excel spreadsheets into one using FILE MONKEY?

I tried doing this using the COPY command. The first file was over written.

I am using office 2003.

Hi,
if they are plain text files such as csv files, you can use the merge feature of FileMonkey to combine them (select the Quick-Find/Merge menu item from the main window).

If they are compiled worksheets (for example, xls files) you would have to save each one in plain text format and then use FileMonkey to combine them. There is a tutorial for doing this available here:

Hi,
since the last response, we have released a product called Monkey Merge. This product can combine word documents, excel worksheets and workbooks and all plain text file formats.
